La Rouche-Posay Effaclar facial skincare review

My skin has always been incredibly oily as far as I can remember. From my young teens, I have suffered with acne and blackheads. I can't even count the amount of products and DIY remedies I have tried to remove the oil and my deep pesky blackheads.

I saw a post recently on Facebook advertising these products and decided to pop to my nearest boots and pick them up. They are specially for oily skin.

I picked up the gel face wash and the moisturiser. Well, I think it's a moisturiser, the packaging just says 'corrective unclogging care anti-imperfections'. You use it once you have washed your face in the morning and also in the evening.
It helps control the amount of sebum (oil) being produced by your skin and helps pores look unclogged.

It gives 24 hour hydration, and lasting mattifying effect. It also works fab under base makeup.

I use the facial gel once I have taken off my makeup in the evening and again in the morning.

So far, having used for a week, they both seem to be working very well, my foundation stays on a lot better and it's keeps my shiny face at bay! According to the packaging, it takes a few weeks to see a more drastic result and evening of skin tone. The moisturiser sinks into the skin really fast and doesn't feel sticky.

It's defiantly been worth investing in so far. The gel face wash was £11 and the moisturiser was £15.50. Which is a bit pricey but defiantly worth it and will last a while.

For anyone with an oily skin, I really recommend trying it out!

Do you have any really good products/ tips you use for an oily skin/ blackheads?

Let me know!

Xoxo
