Miss Glamorous Beauty Gloucestershire 2015 - The start of my journey!

I have been competing in beauty pageants since the age of 16, and recently I entered an application into Miss Glamorous Beauty UK.

I am really proud to announce I have been accepted and I am now 'Miss Glamorous Beauty Gloucestershire 2015!

So I thought I would start doing a pageant series for my blog, mainly on my updates through my reign, but also pageant tips, makeup and product reviews relevant to pageants!

I will competing for the title of 'Miss Glamorous Beauty UK' in the grand finals held in Cardiff at the Novotel on the 29th November 2015.

I am currently raising money for the 'All creatures great and small' charity, who help to look after unwanted, neglected or bad treated animals!

Shellac Gel Polish Review

As a beauty therapist and nail technician, I work with new products regularly and get to try them out.

Shellac gel polish, has been around for a few years now but it's surprising not a lot of people have used or even heard about it!

If you don't know what gel polish is, it's a stronger version of nail polish. It protects the nail with a tougher cover, does not damage the natural nail plate, sets straight away and lays up to around 2 weeks, without any chipping. It helps to prevent the nail for breaking and is great for people who find it hard to grow their nails up.

Shellac has a beautiful glossy finish to all of their colours and this stays shiny the whole length of time it's on your nails.

You can leave the salon without having to worry about smudging it and you can carry on with the rest of your daily jobs.

They have loads of different colours which can all be jazzed up with nail art or glitters.

I could never go back to normal polish now I've started using Shellac, it really is worth having done and such a beautiful finish to anyone nails.

Biotin - Hair & Nail Growth Vitamins - Review week 1

Hi everyone! 

Most of you will know that I wear Micro-Loop hair extensions to give me lovely long hair. My natural hair is an inch or so below my shoulders and I have always struggled to grow it. 

When I started putting my extensions in, about 4 years ago, my hair was the length it is now but very damaged. So I cut it all off to my chin around a year and a bit ago,and wore my extensions while it's been growing. It's grown down thicker and healthier, with regular trims. ( As a qualified hairdresser, I cut my own hair). It's at that annoying length stage now and I just want it long. 

Here is my hair before I started the tablets, and natural length and after I have put my extensions back in.

I did some research on Amazon and found these Biotin vitamins, they have hundreds of reviews, Mostly of which are all positive. I ordered 100 tablets (3 months worth) for around £8. And have been taking them for a week.

My nails have shot up, and as I wear acrylics I have had to infill them already a week later! 

As for my hair, seeing as I dye it black, my brown roots are now showing a lot more. My hair is a lot softer and healthier so something is defiantly working.

I do recommend drinking a lot of water with them as they have given me quite a few spots but other than that I've had no problems.

It may not work the same for everyone but there's defiantly been some noticeable difference for me.

I will keep doing update posts over the next few weeks and keep you informers how it's all going and if I think it's worth the money.
