Vichy Dermablend foundation review

Vichy Dermablend foundation is known for it's great coverage on blemishes and even tattoos.

Being in beauty pageants and having tattoos, I was recommended this by a friend to cover my ink and also any breakouts I don't want showing on stage!

I bought this from Boots for £16, in the colour Opal, which is the lightest shade for this range. It's slightly darker than want I would usually wear but easily blend able and actually matches very well to my skin. Would probably match a lot easier with a slight tan!

I wanted it generally to cover my tattoos for pageants, but thought I'd give it ago as well as an actual face foundation.

I have very oily and un even skin, this applies to the skin and blends really well, it's not shiny but more of a matte finish on the skin. It defiantly lasts a lot longer on my skin that some of my other foundations. It covers and spots or redness I have, without the need to use any concealer. It keeps my shine at bay longer throughout the day and doesn't feel heavy or sticky at all, a very lightweight feel for such a high coverage foundation!
I do wish they had a slightly lighter shade. And people with a very pale, more porcelain skin tone may struggle to blend this into their skin well.

It also has SPF 20, so helps to protect the skin from the sun on a day to day basis and 16 hour wear coverage. For my skin type. I wouldn't say it lasts 16 hours as my skin gets incredibly oily. But for a normal or combination skin it would be great.

As for my tattoo covering.....

Here is a before and after I took of my foot. No photoshop has been added, this is all just the foundation on its own.
You do have to add a few layers to cover, but it doesn't feel thick or heavy on the skin and doesn't look any darker in colour.
I didn't do too many layers, as it does take a bit of time to get it perfect, this took me about 5 minutes rushed, and even you can still very slightly see through, it's an amazing coverage!

It stays on well, and it tough to get off with a baby wipe, I haven't tried it against clothes yet, there doesn't seem to be any colour pay off, but I have heard if you use the matching Vichy Setting powder, it really does stop it budging! (Will be investing in some of that!)

It's a fantastic product for the price and will definatly be a re purchase once I run out.

Have you tried it? What do you think? Or is there another foundation you swear by?

Xoxo
